The stock price of Apple is going up while Amazon is falling as I'm typing this. A couple of questions in my head:
1. Does the arrival of the iPad signal the death of Amazon Kindle?
2. How are the local telcos going to price the 3G sim cards for iPad?
3. Should we wait for iPad 2.0 and beyond when perhaps there will be multitasking capabilities?
Nonetheless, the competitive pricing is attractive enough for most people to get it, I reckon. And I can't wait to hold an iPad 3 months from now.
I've been busy planning for my mini getaway to Bali next week and so torn between Choices. Firstly, I cannot decide which beach resort to stay at. I know for sure I want to avoid the crowded Kuta Beach, but should I stay at Sanur, Jimbaran or Nusa Dua?
And because Komaneka Resort @ Monkey Forest, Ubud (see picture) offers us the beautiful chance of living beside the rice padi with a personal plunge pool, I really want to stay here for at least a night.
Difficult but happy choices to make! :)
San Francisco artist Liz Hickok create a city out of Jelly. I would love to attempt to make a (polluted) city out of cigarette butts.
I love Barney Stinson! And how true is the Hot-Crazy scale!
I really like this article in WSJ, titled " Look Ahead with Stoicism and Optimism" (link: http://online.wsj.com/article_email/SB100014240527487041528045746285224832197...)
The juxtaposition of the 2 words - stoicism & optimism seems strange, but upon deeper pondering, it makes perfect sense in such a time and age where cynicism thrives and ideals flop.
I believe we are the master of our fates (to certain extent). And what better way to look ahead in 2010, but with "Stoicism and mindless optimism"!
I'm using this to create some nice wallpaper for my desktop.
Happy 2010!
